2002/03 Review
The
2003/04 season must be seen as another step forward for Danny Wilson's
predominantly young Bristol City squad.
The third place league finish
was just an out-of-place goal or two away from the glory of automatic
promotion whilst landing the LDV Trophy showed the team could also live
with the burden of favourtism.
This is an important point
because the pattern of improvement in each year of Wilson's tenure means
that next season our hopes of
automatic promotion will turn to expectation
The assessment of those chances can wait for
the 2003/04 preview which in any case will depend on the extent to which
improvements can be wrought during the closed season. So, on the basis
that professional sportsmen will continue to play to their strengths whilst
working on their weaknesses, what aspects of City's performance most need
addressing?
