Director: Tony Fawthrop

From bcfc.co.uk - Tony's first job in professional football was as Youth Development Officer and Chief Scout at Leeds Utd back in 1979. He stayed at Elland Road for seven years and, after 18 months living in Spain, returned to become Chief Scout at Huddersfield Tn in 1988. A year later Joe Jordan invited him to fill the same post at Bristol City and he has been at Ashton Gate ever since, serving as assistant-manager under Russell Osman in 1993/94.

Appointed caretaker manager in January 2000 following the departure of Tony Pulis, he guided City to an Auto Windscreens Shield final appearance at Wembley. He was given the manager's job on a full-time basis on May 2000, but stepped down shortly afterwards. Tony took over the role of Academy Director in November 2000.

 

 

Assistant Director: Peter Amos

From bcfc.co.uk - Peter was a Bristol City player in the 1960s, although he did not make the first team, and later a part-time professional with Gloucester City and Cheltenham Town.

He had spells as manager/coach with Tiverton, Dawlish, Exmouth and Weston-super-Mare, also working for the FA as England Schoolboys manager and regional coaching organiser. A teacher for 28 years, he was deputy headmaster of King Alfred's School, Burnham on Sea before joining City as Youth Coach in 1997.

From bcfc.co.uk - one of City's most popular post-war players, Alan scored 99 goals for the club in five seasons after signing from Darlington for a bargain £18,000 fee in 1984.

He left in 1989 to join Turkish club Besiktas for £45,000. Since ending his playing career Alan spent four years working as Bristol Rovers Community Officer before returning to Ashton Gate in his current role.
