Narrative

Thetis, submarine, those on board included commanders of other submarines building at Cammell Laird, Admiralty officials, and civilian employees of Cammell Laird and Vickers Armstrong. Diving accident during final diving trials in Liverpool Bay on June 1, finally lost on the 3rd following rescue and salvage attempts. There were four survivors. Salvaged and renamed Thunderbolt, lost in action 14 March 1943
